Gyspy Punk is the new black

In the last few weeks I have seen Madonna (twice) as she was filming a short film round the corner from my office. I tend to not be that interested in watching film sets (or I pretend not to be interested) but seriously, it's Madonna. As she was there over two days, it was a bit weird to think that for 48 hours I knew exactly wereto find Madonna. She is very small and because she was wearing a green hat and green tee-shirt she kinda looked like a Subway employee --and one is conveniently located right next door to where she was filming.
Moonlighting anyone?

AND I also went to see Gogol Bordello and they blew my mind! The encore nearly killed me--I swear it was at least half an hour and included the lead singer and chicky back-up singer crowd surfing on top of a bass drum.
yeah. go see them if you get the chance.

I'm leaving for France on Saturday for three weeks and am optimistically planning on sending emails, updating facebook and posting lots of pictures on my blog of beaches and tasty food, but what is more likely is that they will be of the inside of my French office -- a windowless room with brown carpet covering the walls--yes, it's a padded room. I will come back to London paler (and likely more emotionally damaged) than when I left.

In other news, I'll be home in July for a blissful 11 days
