John's 32

We finally made it to Somerset and it so nice to get out of London. The bus took about 2 and a half hours and we got a lovely view of Stonehenge (surprisingly close to the highway). We stayed at a friend of a friend's place --a 14th century chapel-- in the middle of farmland.
The friend of a friend was having a party, so there was lots of cider and meat. John, bless him, lasted until about 12 when he staggered off to our tent. But it was his birthday, so I guess he's off the hook. I however stayed up 'till four --best thing about a party in the county is no neighbours.
And waking up to sound of chickens rather than sirens was lovely.
I have to work tomorrow on the bank holiday and am not pleased about it. it should be a snap getting there though as NO ONE else in London will be going to work.

Doesn't look like I'll be going to Cannes this year, but someone from my mag definitely will.

So there's hope for next year.

From Antonia:

John has been 32 for a while now. Did you do anything to celebrate his 32 and 2 month anniversary?
